I love summer: All the more what with these November showers. I took the above photos last last summer; a tree covered in green leaves, two beaches at the peek of August coolness, and a bowl of fresh currants from a flowing summer stream. Now you'd be hard-pressed to find a tree not naked, and water is puddles everywhere. No currants, no summer berries; just pumpkins. Pumpkins. At any rate, happy Veteran's day!
ADVICE: Forgive VS. Forget?
In past times I have received questions about what to do after a fight with a friend, or something of the likes. Sometimes these fights can be little more than petty arguments, or they can be fights that have caused so much offense to one or both parties, that the friendship could never be the same.
After the fight has blown over, if it does, of course, then what should happen? Should you simply forget that the fight has ever occurred, or acknowledge that it happened, but forgive your friend?
It all depends.
If the fight has been resolved, then this clearly means that this person is someone you would like to keep in your life. And, if you were not the one to suggest resolving the fight, then you clearly mean a lot to this other person.
So, when it comes down to it, should you wholesomely forgive this person, or forget that anything whatsoever has happened? You should do both. Forgive this person. Forgive them; accept that we all make mistakes. Let your friendship continue. You should always remember, inside, that you are both very capable of hurting the other, but regardless of who was wrong or right, you should never bring this fight up or hold it over your friend's head. You would not be a good friend to do so.
